Brian Richards, P.E.
Mr. Richards began his career as a structural engineer, but after 7 years experience decided to turn his attentions to the arena of HVAC design. Since founding Summit Consultants, Inc. in 1996 he has worked to become proficient in Plumbing and Electrical design as well as HVAC. Mr Richards is registered as an engineer in 26 states and particularly enjoys more challenging projects such as concert halls and museums.
Garrett Brown, P.E., CxA
Mr. Brown began his career as a structural engineer, but after 15 years decided to turn his attentions to the arena of HVAC design. Since joining Summit Consultants, Inc. in 1999 he has worked to become proficient in the design of HVAC systems. In 2007 Garrett turned his attention to the commissioning of buildings and building systems. Mr. Brown is registered as an engineer in the state of Texas and currently manages the Commissioning department at Summit.
David Meier, P.E.
Mr. Meier is a graduate from the University of New Mexico with a bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering and has been involved in mechanical engineering since 1991. Mr. Meier is a licensed mechanical engineer in several states including dual licensure as a mechanical and fire protection engineer in the states of Texas and New Mexico.
Mark Tiner, P.E.
Mr. Tiner is a licensed electrical engineer in the state of Texas and has been involved in electrical engineering since 1986. Marks experience includes electrical design and energy studies, especially in the areas of short circuit, lighting, load flow analysis and tax abatement energy studies and computeraided lighting calculations. Mr. Tiner currently serves as Electrical Engineering Manager for Summit.
Kerry McLeroy, PE
Mr. McLeroy is a licensed mechanical engineer from Texas A&M University and a DFW native. He has 10 years experience in the HVAC industry with experience ranging from K-12 schools, higher education, central utility plants, retail, office, multi-family, and churches. Mr. McLeroy enjoys working on challenging MEP renovation projects, often taking the prime role.
Chad Leveritt, P.E.
Mr. Leveritt has been involved in the HVAC industry since 2004 and is a licensed mechanical engineer in the state of Texas. Chad is experienced in the design of large secure institutional facilities, high-rise condos, refrigerated warehouses, parking structures, churches, industrial, healthcare, K-12 and higher education institutions. Chad also regularly performs highly specialized mechanical design and energy analysis studies.
Steve Ruse, P.E., LEED AP
Mr. Ruse is an electrical engineer with more than 15 years of experience. He is licensed as an engineer in multiple states, and is a LEED Accredited Professional (BD&C). He has experience in a wide variety of projects, including data centers, industrial facilities, mission critical facilities, hospitals/healthcare, higher education, central plants, LEED, commercial and high-rise buildings, churches, schools and other project types. His expertise includes areas such as healthcare, lighting design, medium voltage distribution, energy efficiency, mission critical and other areas. Mr. Ruse particularly enjoys larger, more complex projects, as well as the opportunity to use new technologies and exacting design techniques in order to reduce a building’s energy consumption while exceeding the owner’s requirements..
